Tuesday, October 26 (E10)

Today's Objective: Students will continue pre-writing their Q1 final projects

Today's SAT Word: Tandem (n.): Pair

When doing our peer reviews of our first essays, we worked in tandems.

Today's Soundtrack: "Everybody" (Backstreet's Back) by The Backstreet Boys

We have chosen this song today because it has a repeated use of the word "body" throughout its verses and chorus. Today, we are learning all about how to structure the *body* paragraphs of our essays.

Today's Warm-Up Question:

Today is ALTER-EGO day! Today’s the day we all get to pretend to be somebody else.

If you’re in costume:
What is YOUR alter-ego? And what made you choose that alter-ego?

If you’re not in costume:
What made you decide not to come in costume today?

Monday, October 25 (E9)

Today's Objective: Students will continue pre-writing their Q1 final projects

Today's SAT Word: Tandem (n.): Pair

When doing our peer reviews of our first essays, we worked in tandems.

Today's Soundtrack: "Lean On Me" by Bill Withers

We have chosen this song today because it encourages people to lean on one another and to depend on eachother during the hard times. Starting with our next class, we will be peer editing one another's papers -- and so we will need to learn how to lean on one another in order to help our classmates!
