We have chosen this song today because today’s story continues our discussion about the challenges of becoming a prodigy, and this song speaks about one prodigy’s efforts in overcoming challenges in her own life.


Today's Warm-Up Question: “What CHALLENGES did you face when working through last night’s homework?”

Write a paragraph explaining any challenges you may have faced while working on last night’s homework. Did it make sense? Did you actually
attempt to do it, or did you have other outside “challenges” that got in the way of completing your assignment? Make sure that your answer
identifies the three following points:

1) What was the challenge?
2) How did you respond?
3) What did you learn from this experience?

We have chosen this song today because today’s story is all about being a prodigy. Justin Bieber is an example of a prodigy, and students will be asked to think of other examples of prodigies, as well as respond to the challenges and pressures associated with being a prodigy.


Today's Warm-Up Question:“What does it mean to be a prodigy?”

A prodigy is a young person who is exceptionally talented. Many times, prodigies become really famous. Justin Beiber is an example of a musical prodigy. Can you think of any other examples of prodigies?

What do you think some of the challenges might be of becoming a prodigy?
