ray bradbury may have been saying that every body in his neighbor hood rely on technology more then they should. while he takes his walks at night everybody else is at home watching tv. because of the use and how they rely on technology so much. their neighbor hood seems dry, dark, and boring.

ReplyDeleteRay may have been saying that in the future technology will be the best thing. In the story "The Pedestrian" the guy would walk every night just to get some fresh air. One night in November he gets stopped by the police. Ray might have been saying that in the future we won't even have cops it'll just be a talking car. He may also be saying no one will be outside getting exercise, we will all be inside watching t.v and using technology in any way that it benefits us.So in my opinion Ray Bradbury was saying that technology will take over in the future, nothing will be the same since there is technology.

ReplyDeleteRay Bradbury was saying that technology has corrupt most americans. Technology has taken over most of our lives and the world. He also said that technology can be used in different ways. It is used to send messages from one place to another or to create weapons that can be used to hurt many people. It doesn't matter that technology helps to speed up daily processes but it also helps to cause problems. Also he said that the future might have talking police cars and that they will take the jobs of regular police officers.

ReplyDeleteI think what Bradbury might have been saying about technology in this story is that technology is getting to advanced these days.i mean no one says that its impossible to build a car that drives itself,the talking part im not sure about but still its not impossible.i would honestly be a little freaked out about a talking car but it still would be cool but in this story the setting made it feel creepy.

ReplyDeletei think Ray Bradbury was saying that technology is going to take over our lives and the world in the future.i think he is saying that if we have all this technology now when we get to the future its going to be very advanced and maybe creepy. i think he is using the police car as an example of technology taking over because there was nobody in the police car. also the police car was talking and driving by itself which means somebody is out of a job. technology can be good and bad ,but in the story it took and ordinary person and made them seem crazy when they were just minding their business. thats what i think Ray Bradbury was saying about technology.

ReplyDeleteRay Bradbury may have been saying that technology is what's in our life's and it will be there in the future. For example instead of a the police being in the car your gonna have a censor monitor and a computer voice talking to you and asking you a bunch of question's , and sometime the computer might be wrong for example when he said "I'm taking you to a crazy institution" he probably got the wrong idea just because you see a pedestrian walking at certain time's of the hour's don't mean that they are crazy. So at the end of it all i think Mr.Ray Bradbury doesn't think that technology is a good idea or thing.
Ray Bradbury in my opionion was saying how technology is advanceing everyday and soon or ,or later humans wont be needed. Mr.Meed was the only human left walking on earth, also everything was high tech. For example in the story the police car talked on its own with no police man Behind It.Him making the car talk on its to me means that technology is so advance people will be out of jobs and earth.Over all The author is saying that in the furture technology will soon take over earth.

ReplyDeleteI Think That Ray Bradbury is trying to say that technology is advancing and that in the future it would take control of our lives but also of the world we live in.It Would take over our jobs and would not let us live a normal life.In the story technology is shown as a bad thing because it shows that no one is outside that the streets are empty and dark and that everyone prefers to be inside their homes watching tv and not enjoying the things that nature has to offer.People would rather stay inside and that can cause a lot of health problems to humans, because they would not get the exercise they need.People would become lazy because they would not have a jod to work to do.Machines would take their jobs,like in the story the police car didn't have anyone inside it was just a machine talking.For me I think technology can have a lot of good benefits but also a lot of bad ones.

The reason I say that is because he would stand in windows.Ray would look to see what their wathing at night time while he take his walks. He must like technology because he use to be a author for books. In todays time us the people need technology.

I think that Ray Bradbury thinks that in the future humans won't need to work because we will have machines with a high enough intellegence to solve problems and do all of the work that humans would do on a daily bases but even better. Dominic Williams

People now focus more on technology than events that happen outside.That technology is very powerful because it makes people not to go out and take a walk or to take a look at the nature. Due to that tehcnology people are staying home and just focus on it. And it takes too much thier attention until they cannot hear what is happening outside. That means in the future everybody will do all their work from their home.
