What does it mean to be "free?" What does "freedom" mean to you, and what sacrifices do you make or would you be willing to make in order to live in a "free" society? Is "freedom" worth it?

ReplyDeleteTo Me Freedom means"to be able to do things that your aren't normally able to do" or liberty is another way of saying freedom.if i weren't free i wouldnt be a happy person because then i wouldn't be able to do things like watch tv or eat or go places.

ReplyDeleteWhat Freedom means to me is that I am able to voice my own opinion with out getting arrested anymore. Also, I able to sit anywhere on the bus, I can eat with different ethnicities where ever I want, and use any bathroom I want. Yes, freedom is worth it because i can be independent in my own way. I would give up so much to be free. I would give up my shoes, money, computer, cell phone, tv, and many many more.
To me,freedom means being able to voice my opinions and not be looked down upon for being myself.Whether it's the way I dress,or my religious views.Something I would do to make a free society would be making everyone believe they have a chance at life no matter their situation.I would want everyone to live without sickness,poverty,violence,war,racism,

To be free mean a lot to me because I would not be able to get the education that I'm getting today. Freedom mean to me a lot to me also cause I would not have the chance to do anything I would like to do today and I would not have a lot of rights. The sacrifices I would make or would be willing to make to live in a free society is not to have so much violence in our society. Also I think if we were to live in a free society we should only pay for updates of our possessions ,food,and wardrobe . Ex. We shouldn't have to pay for cars but we should have to pay for the brakes if they were to go bad. Freedom is worth the a lot but it is a reason we living in america with rights.
ReplyDeleteWhat does it mean to be free it means that you have a right that every body else has like the right to own your own property and etc. what freedom means to me would be that I as a citizen of the U.S can live a life were I can enjoy my freedom of speech and rights as a citizen. the sacrifices that I wolud make for the freedom that I have would be that I would serve my country for the cause of the freedom that I believe in and more. freedom is beyond worth it freedom should be the goal of every living thing so this is the way i feel about freedom. ReplyDeleteTo me freedom means to be able to do whatever you want when ever you want in a way that you dont get in trouble or have to go to jail for. Like you should be able to go where you want, sit where you want,and say what you want.I think freedom is worth it because i can get to do what i want and say im independent and be able to say i can make my own decisions.To be free i would give up anything i dont have to have or things i dont need.

ReplyDeleteTo me freedom means to be able to do what ever you want to do with out someone telling you what to do and how to do things. Another thing is when your free you don't have to be a slave and listen to your commander. For example back in the days black people had to be a slave for the white people and do what ever they were told to do, now everybody has there own rights so they don't have to listen to anybody but the law.
While I was born free and by that I have so many privlagies. I can wake up and catch my bus and sit wherever I would like. what freedom means to me is that I can live the way I would like without anyone telling me what to do or say. I wouldn't know what freedom fully is because what is the definition of not being free(not being able to say what you feel or do and not voting). So I am thankful I am free. We can have live where ever we want& that is so important to me because of slaves. We also can work where ever we want . We can follow our dreams . That's what Freedom mean to me & it's also important to me .

ReplyDeletei think freedom means to live life the way you want it to be. not worrying about being ridiculed, or discriminated because of your skin, your lifestyle, or because of who you are. im nnot saying that you should go out and kill someone, because thats not being free thats takiing somebody elses freedom away. im saying to live life peacefully and to respect others who want to live life peacefully to. in conclusion this is what freedom means to me.
In my opinion freedom means to be able to do what you want at a certain lentgh.I would put up at lot to ne free. To hvae freedom and do certain things such as speaking up for yourslef is very importamnt,if i wasnt able to speak my mind then i wouldnt be able to mske a difference in the world and i feel i was born to make a difference. Freedon i beileve is worth alot, standing out and speaking up is important to this world today so if people wanst able to do at least that then Freedom isnt important at all.Freedom is the main key you need in life to be you

ReplyDeleteFor me freedom means being able to speak your mind,not being afraid of getting discriminate and also being able to practice your own beliefs or religion without being scared of doing it.Freedom is really important for me, but it doesn't come free you have to give up some of your rights to be able to have freedom, some people take it for granted and they don'trealize that people in other countries don't really have the same rights or freedom that we do in this country.I feel very lucky of being able to live in this country,but some of my family live back in my country and don't have the freedom that they deserve.

ReplyDeleteWhat is freedom? Freedom is the power or right to act, speak, or think as one wants without hindrance or restraint. Freedom to me means that you are able to do what ever you want and excell in doing so with no limitations, as long as you don't break the laws. Also to be free from slavery. I am not sure what sacrifices I would make for freedom, maybe try not to break any rules or laws made by the federal,local, and state government. Freedom is worth it because, you get to express your feelings and opinions and not get locked up or abused for voicing yourself and you get to live as you please.

ReplyDeleteI think freedom is to be open to the world, to be in front "face to face" to responsibilities, to confront every problem and deal with everyday stuff. Is to be allowed to anything you want to do. Is the right to protect yourselve, to speak, religions, and a lot more. Some people might think that freedom is to live with out limits, but I think everything in life has limits... It is just in its own ways.
